Sizzling Spare Ribs
For the very first time, I was able to try a sizzling spare ribs and for this restaurant, I appreciated the name of the food ‘spare ribs.’ Everytime I order spare ribs in some restaurants, I can’t figure out why it is called that way. With this food, I learned why.
I didn’t expect if to be this large. I am a nurse so i can figure out how ribs look like. So there is the hint. This is the first time I saw spare ribs with the ‘sternum.” The meat was not detached as served. That mediastinal bone is there. Now I know. Why it is only now that I’ve encountered this kind of presentation?
Cost: 120 pesos (around 3-4 dollars)
For the cost, I think the food was more than enough. I actually expected it to be smaller but when they served it, it was like, whoaah! This serving is huge. I wasn’t able to consume everything so I have to take what’s remaining out.
Great thing I’ve found this restaurant. Among all the restaurants I’ve tried in San Fernando City in La Union, this restaurant has the most delicious food, sulit and with friendly staff.
The restaurant opens at 8am and closes at 9pm daily. It is located along Quezon Avenue in the City of San Fernando, La Union near North Mandarin Hotel.
Ending Personal Insights
I literally did a restaurant hopping in the city today. This is the third restaurant I tried in a row for a span of less than 2 hours. I am doing this to look for the best place to dine in the city. You know, I want to be an expert guide in La Union soon in terms of food and travel. I am not living here so that would be a great challenge. Anyway, at least for now, I’ve started the goal.
